Module Overview

Dogs are responsible for 99% of cases of human rabies, therefore dog management is a necessary intervention in the elimination of dog-mediated human rabies. This module entails rabies and dog management knowledge to support non-health stakeholders in rabies education in the community.

Module Objective

To participants with basic knowledge on rabies and dog management

Module Learning Outcomes

By the end of this module training, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the basics of rabies infection in dogs and humans
  2. Influence change of beliefs, practices and behaviours that put community at risk of rabies
  3.  Improve reporting suspects cases of human and/ or animal
